Print with a Ricoh SP 200 on macOS or Linux

The Ricoh SP 200 needs a compatible driver to print from macOS or Linux. This free community driver enables printing through the computer’s normal print system.

What works

The developer reports successful black-and-white printing with a Ricoh SP 200.

Limitations

This solution provides printing only. Compatibility with other Ricoh models is predicted rather than demonstrated by equivalent tests. The operating system and processor used for the SP 200 test have not been confirmed.

Installation

Choose the package for the operating system and processor using the project instructions. A PKG installer is available for macOS and a DEB package for Debian or Ubuntu. Administrator permission is needed to install the printing files and configure the printer. Test a short document after setup. Other Linux distributions may require building the software from source. The project includes an uninstall script; optional network sharing is a separate setup.

Help with downloads and setup explains download choices, security warnings and recovery planning.

Testing and feedback

The developer reports successful printing with an SP 200, but has not identified the operating system or processor used for that test. The computer, connection, software version and test date are also unconfirmed. Packages for macOS and Linux do not establish tested compatibility with every system listed.
